Here at McKownville United Methodist Church we have a lot to offer for everyone.
We believe in Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors.
When you come to our church you can expect to be warmly greeted by our regular worshippers. There are opportunities for fellowship and prayers. We offer a worship service that has a mix of contemporary and traditional styles.
Music plays a large part in our service, and we have a variety of music. You can hear the rich warm sound of the organ as well as the lively piano. During some services we have our beautiful bell Choir or our regular singing choir. Each service also has a variety of Hymns that we sing together.
We also use technology to help spread the word. We have two large screens at the front that display the words of all the songs, prayers and scripture. This allows for a more enriched experience. The church has assisted listening devices to help those with hearing concerns. For those who cannot attend the service in person, we broadcast our service live every Sunday and the service can also be viewed at a later time.
On the first Sunday of each month, we offer communion. We invite everyone to partake Holy Communion.
At the end of each service we have a coffee hour in the back of the sanctuary. This is a great time for fellowship. Coffee hour generally consists of coffee, tea, Lemonade or iced tea and snacks to share. This is a great time to catch up with one another and share our time together.
